As a key member of the Visionworks team, the Optometrist is fundamental to providing exceptional eye care and ensuring a positive experience for every patient. This role demands a deep understanding of ocular health, visual systems, and our comprehensive range of vision products and services. The Optometrist guides patients through their entire eye care journey, from comprehensive examinations to prescribing corrective lenses or other treatments, all delivered with a focus on simplicity, personalized attention, and a commitment to bold solutions. This professional will play a crucial part in upholding Visionworks' standard of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted Optometrist license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrated experience in optometric practice, ideally with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and practices in the optometry field.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refractions, visual field tests, and internal/external eye health assessments.
• Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and conditions, or refer patients to specialists as necessary.
• Prescribe and fit contact lenses, spectacles, and other vision aids.
• Educate patients on proper eye care, vision health, and available optical products and services.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with all regulations.
• Collaborate with optical specialists and retail staff to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal eyewear solutions.
• Stay current with advancements in optometry through continuous learning and professional development.
• Participate in achieving clinical and patient satisfaction objectives for the location.
